What a coinidence ! I'm collecting some music to put on my mp3 player right now for the 12 minutes run i have to absolve tomorrow - and to make it short, i am certainly taking this song with me !
perfect length (short) and a powerful boost.
wish me luck ;D
regards

Ey Thank you Painjester! ^_^ I'm glad to be on your mp3 player!

starting with my only concern, the beginning:
acid mixed with some kind of carribean drums ? well not my style :/
but since 0:21 and especially 0:45 again, i was like "BAM !" and " :3 "
then what remains to say ? typical, i'll call it zero-bassical song structure;
slight beginng - powerful advance - faint continuation - build up - BAM ! - fading out with "some echoing words" :D. don't understand me wrong, thats what i call close to perfection and not monotony
furthermore you recently seem to be bound to "rave-piano berserking" around. not bad, particularly for explosive build-ups. not so clearly used here like in your last song, but no need since the atomic trigger stuff is reemployed (sounds so at least)
that's it man.
again, continue composing and i await your track in the top 5
until next time (hopefully :D) !

a slow track from zero-bass ?
i didn't expect that =)
but it is fairly something to relax with
i am highly impressed by the amount of independant layers
my head nearly exploded as i tried to focus on every one :D
interesting beats and music overall
i hope the sound isn't affected by my phones and sound options
but on peaks the sound could be a bit more agressive (beats especially), since i read hardcore - i want to feel "hardcore" xD
but overall very good, like every time
the piano/strings are perfect of course, exactly the right instrument to mix with the couple-o-bit-synths
and finally the mr.-in-the-top-5-title. congratulations, [we] are proud of you
i can't wait for the next tracks
regards

a pity it's so short
resembles Aphex twin a bit, with the style of drums
though weird, fitting in well and certainly interesting to listen
even if it was an effects test, build upon.
hope to see you next week again, but with something breaking the 3 minutes barrier.
oh, and i consider the ending is faded out to early and too intense. there's no point listening to silence since the piano itself is very calm already.
Author's Response:
That is very true :) Your review has been really helpful. I'm trying to extend my songs out a bit more :)

wow, nice HEAV(ENL)Y sound on this one, ESPECIALLY drums and guitar
well honestly after 13s i rather imagined an over-exaggerated picture of an epilleptic shadow on CRACK ravaging while listening ;D
it's only meant positively ! even if it may sound sarcastically
but... you're right - 'darkest shadow' is better fitting ^_^
what can i say, a perfect extremely dynamic combination of IGNITIONS and following EXPLOSIONS lets one imagine you've created a neverending bomb.
seriously, it just stops exploding for a while till you create your next song.
this is one track i certainly care less if i end up half-deaf after listening.
how do you manage to make your song(s) so loud on reason ? :D
'to the favorites with this one !'
seriously people, come often to 'ol' Zero's' site and you won't regret it :3
regards, man
just had an idea.. just freakin imagine the song being live-performed..
guitars, one or two lunatic drummers, a choir, yes a choir i feel to stress this point, and naturally some keyboarders. damn, imagine. the 'audience's cry' from 1:22 would come up automatically, it'd be just ... amazing.

what an awesome review Painjester!!
I would really like to perform my songs live as Liam Howlett did in the Rave Era back in the 1992 (he is the mastermind of "The Prodigy"), and this song would be very good performed live in front of an huge crowd :')
"how do you manage to make your song(s) so loud on reason ? :D "
Well..imo getting a loud clear sound is all is a matter of EQualization..you must process every instrument and adjust the balance between basses and trebbles [it takes ages :( ]
Thanks again Pj!

enough said
i suggest you'll go and thank the creator of the 'our aeipathy' for it was a great contribution to your songs popularity/a good advert. though i liked the cut in the flash better. an abrupt ending between 2:42-2:43 (hoo! - echo..) would rock even more. so ill cut the rating by 1 from 11, equals 10. regards
Author's Response:
TBH I did pm the creator of the flash. Congratulated her on front page and everything.
Hm, I really wasn't thinking any pauses while creating this song. I kind of wanted it to be fast paced and pumping.
Glad you enjoyed it!.
For everyone else. Sorry I can't respond to too many... But you must understand 142 responses of "thanks for the review" can get a little repetitive.
But I assure you I have read them all.

not many loops submitted by you, but this one's perfect.
did you ask your freinds which part of the song they like best ?
you certainly hit the average people's favorite part of your whole song.
no matter how good, short, how "loopy" the track is, please don't miss the entire song. you'll lose a part of zero-bass-style.
thats where my whole review is xD
i can only say continue writing and soon you'll rule the d'n'b scene ;D
regards
alex

I will continue ;D

i am so glad that i didn't stop looking after your user page after i've read that you eventually want to collect sufficient tracks for a new CD and so it would last a long time till your audience will be capable of hearing anything new.
that is one hell of a good happy hardcore and d'n'b mix !
the beginning reminded me a bit of pendulum.. which song was that ?
further on perfectly high-speed and .. happy :3
still including the phenomenon of your songs being written in the unmistakeable zero-bass-style but remaining newly.
despite of me liking the "whole" song very much also, it was obviously a very good idea to submit the looping part also. proven with score difference.
finally you gathered all the instruments necessary to make a perfect song ^_^
inspiring.
refreshing.
fucking
good.
i hope very much that you'll catch a good label. you have proven for years that you deserve it.
one the other hand, i hope you keep submitting tracks on newgrounds no matter what quality. they are all unbeatable.
regards, thanks (also for inspiration) and best wishes for future
alex

XD sick beginning
zwooosh -> quick thin sound -> EXPLOSION ! within 15 seconds
great like every song of yours, I still wonder how it's possible to arrange that many sound patterns fitting all together and keep the track sounding as clear and as good as that
crazy
what i like most, is that your music enables to hear nearly another song every time listening to the same track by manipulating the equalizer or concentrating on certain passages (i mean its sounds like there would be 20 DJ's). what's special about that : they all sound good.
i think i like the jazz equalizer most ^^
keep up the very good work
my regards and admiration

p.s.: if you did not understand what i've written above, excuse me, it's hard to put it in words ^_^ (and i'm not a native speaker xD)

Hi Painjester! Well..actually i've got the same problem! :D being italian doesn't help my english :/
Thanks for the "really" good review!!
It's HARD to mix many different sounds together without ruining them and..choosing the right sound sometimes takes a long time :)
Thanks again m8 <3

cool and fresh track with a plenty of surprising moments
in my opinion the track differs a lot from your newer tracks, which reminds your audience of the variety of your work. but even if it differs from the rest, you were still able to keep the A+ quality.
i must confess that it reminds me a bit of pendulum (the part in the beginning)- and pendulum reminds me of professional
the only thing that i could critisize is, that it lasts only 2:40. but with the good loopability you made up also for that little critique of mine.
keep up the work, what can i say more
your music helps to keep me happy ^_^
regards
alex
